SUMMER HORSE DAY CAMP

Campers will be participating in
riding lessons focusing on proper horsemanship according to their ability. They
will learn safety, grooming, basinc horse care, and stable management. There
will be daily horse science lessons, videos, and discussions on various topics
of interest.
The campers will arrive daily at
9:00 A.M. and stay until 12:00 noon. Two hours will be devoted to riding and
one hour to horse science. For riding sessions, helmets, riding boots or shoes,
and long pants (jeans, breeches, or leggings) are mandatory. No tennis shoes
will be allowed for the riding portion of the day. If your child does not own a
helmet we will provide one. The campers will be able to change into shorts and
tennis shoes for the horse science lesson. They will also have the opportunity
to get hands on experience with various horse related duties.
The camps will be limited to four
participants per week. The fee for Summer Camp is $250.00. A $50.00 deposit
must be received with your application (see below) to hold your place. Full
payment must be received at least a week before your child's camp session
begins.
For those campers who wish to bring
their own horses stabling will be provided at no additional charge. You will,
however, need to bring your horses regular grain and hay. A negative Coggins
Test dated within 12 months of your camp date is required. A limited number
of school horses are available on a first come first served
basis.
